Rodgers pens long-term Liverpool deal

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has signed a new long-term contract with the club.

Rodgers led Liverpool to the brink of their first top-flight title in 24 years earlier this month, with the Merseyside outfit eventually finishing second just two points adrift of champions Manchester City.

A season that saw Liverpool amass 84 points and 101 goals from their 38 Premier League games far exceeded expectations, and they will compete in the UEFA Champions League for the first time in five years next season.

Rodgers who took over from Kenny Dalglish in June 2012 has subsequently been rewarded by the club s hierarchy, and the Northern Irishman is thrilled to be staying at Anfield.

I am both humbled and privileged to be offered the chance to extend my stay at this great…

Asked if the forward could be difficult, Tuchel told a media conference: No we talk too much about that. Kylian always wants to play. Sometimes he is disappointed and he shows it.

Perhaps you have the impression that he is not easy to manage. But no. It…
