Bordeaux want Giroud

According to a recent report from L’Equipe, French club Bordeaux have made an enquiry regarding the possibility of signing Olivier Giroud from Chelsea. The Frenchman has failed to really find any kind of consistency at Stamford Bridge following his move from Arsenal, where he was viewed as one of the most underrated forwards in European football. Giroud played his part in helping France to win the 2018 FIFA World Cup last summer, but since then, he hasn’t been able to re-discover his old form. Giroud’s current deal with Chelsea is set to expire at the end of the current campaign, although Chelsea do have an option to extend it by twelve months.

A return to Ligue 1 for the final few years of his time at the top of his game would certainly be a realistic prospect, and it’…

Donnarumma allays Milan exit fears: I´m happy here

Gianluigi Donnarumma has moved to allay fears he will engineer a move away from AC Milan in January by insisting he is happy at the club.

The teenage goalkeeper has been jeered by Milan fans since reports emerged claiming his agent Mino Raiola was trying to terminate the four-year contract he signed last July.

Donnarumma is seen as the heir to Italy and Juventus icon Gianluigi Buffon and is believed to have drawn interest from LaLiga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid.

The 18-year-old returned from a groin injury that kept him out of the derby victory over Inter in the Coppa Italia in midweek and turned in an impressive display during a 1-1 draw at Fiorentina on Saturday, making a string of excellent saves on his 100th Milan appearance.

Bruma confirms Inter talks

PSV defender Jeffrey Bruma has confirmed he has held talks with Inter to discuss a potential transfer ahead of next season, but is adamant he has yet to make a decision about his future.

The Netherlands international impressed with a string of fine performances in 2015-16 and his displays have not gone unnoticed elsewhere.

The former Chelsea centre-back has been heavily linked with Inter and Wolfsburg in recent weeks and he has already sat down with the Serie A side.

The talks with Inter were about their plans with me and how coach Roberto Mancini feels about me, Bruma told AD.

And I obviously had a few questions as well. You always sound each other out a bit to find out each other s plans.

I would like to ask [Lazio defender] Stefan de Vrij a…

I´m not his father – Tuchel unaware of Neymar´s Turin trip

Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel claims to be unaware and unconcerned about reports Neymar made a swift trip to Turin two days out from the Coupe de France final.

According to reports in Italy, Brazil star Neymar ventured out of Paris to attend an event alongside compatriot and Juventus winger Douglas Costa.

The 27-year-old s apparent journey abroad came less than a week after returning from a three-month injury lay-off in last weekend s Ligue 1 victory against Monaco.

His appearance off the bench could pave the way for a start against Rennes at Stade de France on Saturday, with Tuchel dismissing responsibility for Neymar s pre-match movements.

I do not know about it, Tuchel told reporters on Friday.

I m not his father, not the police, n…

Tottenham 2 Burnley 1: Lamela stunner wins it for Spurs

Erik Lamela s superb first Premier League goal earned Tottenham a 2-1 win over Burnley in an entertaining encounter at White Hart Lane.

The Argentinian, who arrived for a club-record fee from Roma prior to the 2013-14 campaign, had previously gone 25 league appearances without finding the net for Spurs, but he broke his duck in fine style on Saturday.

Lamela produced a sublime curling finish from 25 yards to net the winner in the 35th minute, after a strike of similar quality from Ashley Barnes had cancelled out Harry Kane s header.

Kane met Nacer Chadli s pinpoint delivery midway through the first half his 14th goal of the season in all competitions and third in as many matches.

Barnes netted the winner in Burnley s 1-0 victory over Southampton last wee…
